From October 28 to 30, 2025, the "2025 China International Petroleum Exploration Technology Annual Conference & New Technology Achievement Exhibition" was held in Beijing, jointly organized by the Chinese Petroleum Society, PetroChina Oil, Gas & New Energy Company, CNPC International Exploration and Development Co., Ltd., the Exploration and Development Department of Sinopec Oilfield, the Exploration and Development Department of CNOOC Limited, and the Oil and Gas Resource Survey Center of China Geological Survey.

With the theme of "Innovation-Driven Development · Digital Intelligence Leads the Future—Empowering New Quality Productivity in Petroleum Exploration," this conference brought together domestic energy enterprises such as PetroChina, Sinopec, CNOOC, and Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum, as well as international oil giants like Saudi Aramco, ExxonMobil, and TotalEnergies, along with academicians and experts from institutions like the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the U.S. National Academy of Engineering. The event not only showcased achievements in petroleum exploration during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period and interpreted the "15th Five-Year Plan" development strategy but also facilitated discussions on core topics such as global energy trends, ultra-deep petroleum exploration, deepwater oil and gas development, and the application of artificial intelligence and big data. It provided a platform for breakthroughs and transformation in industry technologies.
